The Virtues and Rulings of SãalaÃÑt at-TasbiÃÑhã (SãalaÃÑt at-TasbiÃÑhã ke FadãaÃÑ æil aur MasaÃÑ æil) is a unique work detailing an optional prayer prescribed by the Prophet Ô∑∫ to his Companions. The author supplements the work with a section for advanced students, discussing the authenticity of the hadiths prescribing this prayer. About the Author Shaykh Mufti øAbd al-Ra æuÃÑf SakkharwiÃÑ was born in 1951 in Sukkur, a city in the Sindh province of Pakistan. He received his early Islamic education in his hometown and then completed his final year of the øaÃÑlimiyyah course, as well as his masters-level studies, at DaÃÑr al- øUluÃÑm Karachi under Shaykh MuftiÃÑ Muhãammad ShafiÃÑ ø and others. Shaykh Mufti øAbd al-Ra æuÃÑf SakkharwiÃÑ is currently a senior Mufti at the DaÃÑr al-IftaÃÑ æ in DaÃÑr al- øUluÃÑm Karachi, where he has taught portions of SahãiÃÑhã Muslim for several years. He is also the author of many beneficial Urdu-language works, some of which have been translated into English, such as Virtuous Deeds & Consigning their Reward to Others, How Muslim Women Offer Prayers and Customary Collective Recital of Qur'an from a Shari'ah Perspective.
